Pleated blinds have become very popular in the last few years. This is due to their use in conservatories. They provide a simple and attractive answer to controlling heat and comfort in conservatories during both summer and winter as well as providing privacy where desired. We have looked very closely at all other pleated roof blind systems and found that they all rely on the use of a friction cord, this we found was the weakest point of the blind and proved difficult to operate. We have now developed and patented our own system without the use of friction cords.
